A POPULAR Milford Haven author has already raised £2,000 for charity from sales of his new book.

Jeff Dunn was in Milford News in Charles Street on Friday, signing copies of 'It's all write by me'.

The writer – best known for his weekly ‘That Reminds Me…’ column in the Mercury – said he is thrilled to have clocked up so much for the Paul Sartori Foundation, which supports people with cancer and terminal illnesses, and their families.

‘It’s all write by me’ features a selection of short stories that promise ‘something a bit different’ to his previous five titles.

The first, ‘Tony after the storm’ is a follow-up to Tony and the Dream Searcher, and will whisk readers of a certain age back to their childhoods.

‘The road from Little Milford’ is a dark, disturbing tale, set in the late 19th century – in vast contrast to Jeff’s usual light-hearted writing style.

And short story ‘Sophie’s choice’ charts a marriage in crisis - but Jeff is keen to point out that any resemblance to anyone he knows is purely coincidental!

All profits from the book - on sale at Milford News, in Charles Street - will be donated to the Paul Sartori Foundation.

Jeff thanked Bob Thompson of Rhyal Engineering, who is sponsoring the book.
