AROUND 100 people enjoyed Christmas day together at a special party in Milford Haven on Sunday.

The annual Christmas Together event saw people who might otherwise have spent the day by themselves celebrate alongside new friends.

Guests and volunteers shared a delicious dinner, and enjoyed an afternoon of festive fun and games.

The Mayor, Cllr William Elliott said: "Christmas Together has made me feel really humble and overwhelmed this year, with the amount of love and family feel that it produces for all who attend.

"I am very proud to say that I am the Mayor of Milford Haven, where a community of volunteers and businesses and those connected to the town support this precious event through donations or support.

"I hope it continues for many years to come and it really has made Christmas special this year.

"I would like to thank Cllr Guy Woodham and Cllr Colin Sharp for their incredible efforts in organising the event, and for allowing both my consort Lloyd and I to attend, and embrace everything from the setting up, to all that was required of us throughout the day itself.

"No-one in our community should be lonely at Christmas, and I would urge anyone, no matter how old to come forward to attend for next year."

Christmas Together was set up by Cllrs Woodham and Sharp, in a bid to combat social isolation, on what can be one of the loneliest days of the year for some people.
