A KIND-hearted youngster has made her family proud, by having her hair cut for charity.

Five-year-old Lilly Jenkins had 11 inches snipped off, and donated it to the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for young cancer patients.

Mum Cindy said Lilly had been inspired when a friend's two-year-old daughter lost her hair while having treatment for cancer.

"Lilly said if I cut my hair could I give it to them to make a wig for her?" said Cindy.

"I'm so proud of Lilly for deciding to give a poorly little girl the best Christmas present ever."

In charge of the chop was Roxanne Kucyj, of Milford Haven, and the hair has now been sent off to the charity.

And fundraising clearly runs in the family, as Lilly's big sister Hollie also recently raised £125 to help the family of local youngster Tia Llewellyn, who lost her brave battle with cancer last month.

The 11-year-old put collection jars in the Avondale pub in Hakin, run by her grandparents, and at Milford Haven Golf Club, where she is a member.
