A MILFORD Haven author has donated more than £2,300 to a charity close to his heart.

Jeff Dunn, who writes the popular That Reminds Me... column in the Milford Mercury, raised £2,368 for the Paul Sartori Foundation through sales of his latest book 'It's all write by me'.

Accepting the cheque last week, Toni Dorkings of Paul Sartori said: "Jeff is an amazing man, for several years now he has chosen Paul Sartori to benefit from the sale of his books.

"It's fantastic that he keeps thinking of us and supporting us, enabling us to run our hospice at home service and help local people."

Jeff said he was thrilled to again support a "great" local charity.

"The money raised is due to the continued support of Andy Read at Milford News - which sold my book, Rhyal Engineering - which has sponsored many of my fundraising events over the last 20 years, and of course all who bought the book or took part in the Christmas raffle," he said.

Andy, of Milford News - which has recently expanded into the Best One store in Charles Street - said: "It's really great what Jeff does, and the Milford community have shown how generous and supportive they are once again.

"Congratulation on another fantastic fundraising total from all of us at Best One/Milford News."

Last year Jeff raised £1,730 for the charity from sales of his previous book.

Copies of 'It's all write by me' are still for sale at Milford News.
