WOMEN will be holding hands across the Cleddau Bridge this weekend, to mark International Women's Day.
Soroptimists in Milford Haven, together with Pembrokeshire Women and Pembrokeshire Buddhists, will be taking part in this act of solidarity, linking hands with coloured scarves.
The event, which takes place at 11am on Saturday, March 11, aims to raise awareness of the variety of women's groups in the county, and act as a reminder that many women and girls worldwide have to walk each day to fetch water, reach market and attend school.
It is also about keeping active and healthy, and there will be a five-mile walk afterwards for people who wish to take part.
Members of the public are invited to join them either at 10.15am by Neyland Marina Cafe ready to walk up to the bridge or on the bridge at 11am.
For more information contact Ann Maria Thomas 01437 899406 or Erene Grieve 01646 278826.
International Women's Day, which takes place on March 8, celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women, and raises awareness of the need for equality for women and girls across the world.
