DESPITE a series of friendly tweets from police, the owner of a bag of drugs with a street value of between £900 and £1,200 - found in Hakin on Monday - has yet to come forward.

Pembrokeshire Road Policing Unit (RPU) posted a message on social media site Twitter earlier this week, which said: “Lose your drugs in Hakin this evening? Come collect them from Hwest Police Station, PC 45 is waiting with open arms.”

The post was shared more than 80 times, but sadly the unlucky owner had yet to make themselves known.

On Tuesday, the unit sent out another message: “You may be surprised to learn the 30g of cocaine below has still not been claimed.

“We’ll even chuck in some free questions for the owner.”

According to drugswise.org.uk, the average price of a gram of cocaine is around £30 to £40, meaning the mislaid bag could have a street value of around £900 to £1,200.

Let’s hope the owner is found soon.
