A WEEKEND of outdoor adventure was enjoyed by a group of Milford Haven Brownies recently during a pack holiday to Sealyham Activity Centre, thanks to a donation from Valero Pembroke Refinery.

Members of the 7th Milford Haven Brownie Unit, joined by friends from 1st Hakin and 2nd Narberth Brownies, spent a weekend learning new skills and taking part in a variety of activities from bushcraft to archery, in the spectacular surroundings of Sealyham mansion house. Valero’s donation of £500 to the Brownies helped pay for extra adventurous activities for the girls, all aged between 7 and 10 years old, many of whom had never been on an overnight stay away from their parents before.

Brownie Leader Alexia Morgans-Hurley, said, “The weekend at Sealyham was a wonderful opportunity for the girls to experience some real excitement and fun outdoors, and they all enjoyed it immensely. We are incredibly grateful to Valero, whose donation was a massive help towards the overall cost of putting on this weekend adventure for the Brownies.”

Stephen Thornton, Refinery Public Affairs Manager, also said, “It is wonderful to see children having such fun outdoors and learning new skills while doing so. Valero supports a wide range of initiatives and groups looking to keep children active, and we are delighted to have been able to help Milford Haven, Hakin and Narberth Brownies with their pack holiday adventure.”
