NEYLAND'S fledgling 1st Rainbows group has celebrated a successful first five months.
Since opening in January, the group - which welcome girls aged between five and seven - has gone from strength to strength.
This month, all 19 Rainbows and two of their leaders, Ladybird and Dragonfly, made their Girl Guiding Promise to a packed hall full of parents and relatives.
Neyland Rainbows are now looking ahead to a jam-packed summer term including a trip to Folly Farm to celebrate 30 years of the Rainbow programme.
Said Jennifer Perrett: "A big thank you to the continued support from Neyland's Mayor Simon Hancock who has supported us since we opened."
As part of the Rainbows programme, girls enjoy a range of activities, including cinema trips, days out, painting, outdoor activities, and crafts, with the youngsters earning badges for their progress.
