A CELEBRATION of Milford Haven life, past and present, promises to be bigger and better than ever, when it hits the town this month.

Saturday, June 10, sees the return of the popular family-friendly Founders' Day event to the town centre.

Part of Founders' Week, this year's event is being organised by the Milford Haven Town Team, with much needed financial support from Milford Haven Town Council, Pembrokeshire County Council and the Port of Milford Haven.

Every half an hour, starting at 11.30am with the Town Band, there will be a performance to enjoy throughout Charles Street, including Little Monsters, Unison Dance, Alpha Kick Boxing, Magician Dave Hitchcott, Vibe Dance, Torch Theatre Youth and Slicks Martial Arts.

A timeline history of the Milford Haven will be on display at Value Independence in Charles Street (the former Job Centre building) all day, along with their 'wooly workshop' creations.

The Friends' Meeting House will also open its doors to the townsfolk for the day, offering delicious tea and cakes.

And for the grown-ups, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service will also be holding a recruitment drive on the day.

Learn about the important work firefighters do in the community, try out breathing apparatus and other gear used in emergencies - and who knows, you may end up with a job offer at the end of the day.

With all the usual market stall, charity fundraising and rides, inflatables and more, a fabulous fun-filled day is on the cards for everyone.

The event will run from 11am until 4pm on Saturday, June 10, so tell your friends and family and come join in the fun.
