STILT-walking, juggling, magic and music came together in a big top tent for Llangwm's circus-themed carnival on Saturday (July 8).

The village event drew in clowns, acrobats, ringmasters and more, all face-painted up for a day of fun.

Preened pooches got involved in the action too, sporting colourful tutu ruffs and flower headbands, and took part in a contest to find 'top dog' - judged by Greenacres Animal Rescue Centre.

After an afternoon of great food, browsing craft stalls and playing games, and evening of music took place at the Cottage Inn.

Ukelele group the Jumping Fleas followed Little Monsters children's entertainer, and for the grown-ups X Factor contestant Kayleigh Marie Morgan and Steve Bartram provided an up-beat soundtrack.

The culmination of a fortnight of events throughout the village, the carnival was organised by Llangwm Festival Committee.

A spokesman said: "Whether it be making a scarecrow, attending an event or joining us at the carnival or in any other way, we would like to thank everyone for their continued support.

"Thanks to Saul and Elfie, Kevin, Organised Kaos Youth Circus, Matthew at The Cottage Inn, Llangwm Village Voices, Greenacres Animal Rescue, Methodist Chapel, Galilee Baptist Chapel, St Jerome’s Church, Llangwm Village Hall Committee, Llangwm History Society, all the stall holders at the craft fair and on the field, Billy Cole, PAT Ponies, Claire Eaton Photography, Paul Sartori Foundation, Gabrielle Swales Face Painting Artist, Llangwm Farm, all the sponsors, Valero Energy for the marquee, providers of the raffle prizes and Tasmin for organising the raffle.
