ON Sunday, August 13, the fifth concert in the series ‘Music for a Summer Evening' takes place at 6pm at Llanstadwell Church.

Mezzo soprano Emma Pelkiewicz will be singing a wide variety of songs, accompanied by Sam Howley.

Emma is currently training at the Royal College of Music under the tutelage of Veronica Veysey Campbell.

She has performed principal roles in several staged productions including The Rake's Progress, Dido and Aeneas, The Mikado, The Sorcerer, and Jerry Springer the Opera.

Emma is also a keen choral singer, and was one of four choral scholars chosen to work with The Sloane Square Choral Society for this academic year.

Sam is well known as a pianist and vocal coach. He is musical director for Artistic Licence Theatre Company, Touch and Go Theatre Company, Cantabile and Village Voices Community Choir and is Vocal Coach for Stagecoach Youth Performance School.

He has also worked at Pembrokeshire College and Coleg Sir Gar.

Tickets are just £5 for 45 minutes of great music with refreshments to follow, and a chance to talk to the performers.

Parking at the church is very limited so a shuttle runs from the Brunel Quay car park, Neyland, from 5.10pm.
