AN APPLICATION by the Pill Social Centre for a donation towards its new CCTV system will go before Milford Haven Town Council at its next meeting tonight (Thursday).

The community centre is asking for £500 towards the cost of the cameras, which were installed following to burglaries last month.

Altogether, the system cost around £3,200.

Councillors will also assess an application for £250 from Citizens Advice Pembrokeshire.

The organisation operated two main offices in Haverfordwest and Pembroke Dock, but also does outreach work across the county, including Milford Haven.

Financial assistance would help support local residents, and allow more people to access drop-in sessions at the Town Hall.

St Katharine and St Peter's Church will also ask for a donation towards it project to restore the prayer book and bible presented to the church by Admiral Lord Nelson.

It says £500 from the council could help repair the book, and conserve it for future generations.

The total cost of the project is £1,500, £500 of which has already been pledged by friends of the church.
