Milford Haven School is among those closing early today (Monday) as ex-hurricane Ophelia brings very strong winds to Pembrokeshire.

Although Ireland is receiving the brunt of the storm, gusts of up to 80mph are expected along the county coast.

The school closures so far, are: Milford Haven Comprehensive – closing at 11.45 am.

School transport has been arranged to collect pupils. Parents of other pupils are asked to collect pupils from school where possible.

Pembroke Comprehensive – closing from 11am.

Parents are asked to collect pupils where possible. School transport will be collecting pupils from 11.30 to allow them to have food before leaving.

Pupil Referral Unit , Neyland and Penally – closing by 11.30am.

Transport is being arranged to take pupils home by 11.30am.

Portfield School, Haverfordwest – closing at 11.00.

Transport is being arranged for pupils who normally receive it. For other pupils, parents are asked to collect their children.

Greenhill School, Tenby - closing at 12noon School transport is being arranged for pupils who normally use it. Parents are asked to collect upils where possible.

Ysgol y Preseli, Crymych – Closing at 12 noon.
