FOUR Pembrokeshire primary school sites may be sold off, to generate funds for the county council.

Pembrokeshire County Council is looking to dispose of the former Hakin infants and juniors buildings, and Hubberston and Stackpole sites once they become empty in summer 2018.

At a cabinet meeting on November 6, members will decide on a recommendation to declare the sites subject to requirements.

Hakin Infants, Juniors and Hubberston schools will be vacated next year, as pupils move to the new Gelliswick VC School.

Students from Stackpole will move to the new Penrhyn VC School around the same time.

The Stackpole site is subject to a clause meaning it has to be offered back to the original owners at market value, with a nominal charge for the smaller site.

The director of finance will tell cabinet members that disposal of the empty buildings will generate money towards the authority's capital spending programme.
