BRILLIANT, magical, amazing - just some of the words used to describe Milford Haven's annual fireworks display on Sunday night.

Explosions of colours lit up the sky over the marina, with more than 5,000 turning out to watch the show.

Organised by Milford Haven Round Table, the free family event also saw live music, funfair rides and hearty hot food snaffled up by the crowd.

Pumping up the excitement on stage was radio presenter Toby Ellis, who described the event as "fantastic".

Said Milford Haven Round Table chairman Mark Johnson: “We had about 5,500 people attend the night and we are so fortunate that the weather was kind to us, it was pretty much perfect on the night.

"We used a small tug/workboat on the night to launch the fireworks from the best position, which was very kindly supplied free of charge by Williams Shipping in Pembroke Dock.

"We had some great entertainment on the evening from Steve Bartram, Rosey Cale and the Collective who all gave fantastic performances for the crowd.

"We would like to thank Milford Haven town council for their generous donation earlier in the year, and special thanks to those that attended and donated money on the night."

Mayor of Milford Haven Cllr Colin Sharp praised the group's volunteers for once again organising a "great community event".

"It’s was so great to see the people of Milford Haven coming out to see the fireworks," he said.

"Well done to the Round Table, Milford Waterfront, Milford Haven Town Council and all the businesses for getting behind this event."
