MILFORD Haven causes will receive almost £800 from the town council.

At its meeting on Thursday, April 12, councillors agreed to donate £325 to the Rotary Club to help fund its annual Folly Farm day out for local children.

Milford Haven Music Festival is to receive £250 towards its three-week event, which takes place in May.

Cheques for £100 will also be handed over to Cruse Bereavement Care, to help it continue to offer a year-round service to people across Pembrokeshire, and Urdd Gobaith Cymru, which offers opportunities for youngsters to perform and be creative through the medium of Welsh.

An application for £1,500 of assistance from the new Mount Estate community centre was deferred, while members find out whether it can fund purchases that have already been made.
