A PEMBROKE Dock reverend will be moving later this year, after applying to become a vicar in a new Parish.
Following her successful application and interview, Reverend Nicky Skipworth is to be appointed Vicar of Harworth and Bircotes in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham in England.
"I'm feeling very positive about the move to the new parish," she said.
"I'm looking forward to the move to pastures new and to taking up all the things that I have learnt down here for God's glory and the service of the church."
Harworth and Bircotes is a historic mining town currently undergoing major regeneration, which has been without a vicar for two years.
Rev Skipworth hopes that she can become as involved in the community there as she has here in Pembrokeshire - something she considers key to the work of the church.
"If I'm not making a difference in the community then I'm not doing my job and I'm looking forward to continuing doing that up there."
Reverend Nicky Skipworth will be performing her last Sunday service on August 12 later this year.
