AN 11-YEAR-OLD has won £50 after taking part in a survey on community safety in the Slade Green area.
Scott Smith, from Erith, was one of hundreds of youngsters who answered questions about local activities, how safe they felt and where they would turn for practical help and advice.
He received £50 in gift vouchers from Bexley Council leader Councillor Chris Ball after winning a free prize draw.
The Community Safety Partnership carried out the survey during the summer to find out how young people felt about the area.
The results were used to shape the partnership's action plan for the area's new Community Safety Action Zone.
This has already included the launch of midnight basketball, a new young persons' support service and plans for a new activity area.
