Police investigating a sudden death in Haverfordwest town centre at the weekend have said they do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances.

Daniel Sturgess, age 42, was found laying in the carriageway of Cartlett Road, between the Morrisons roundabout and Salutation Square by a passing motorist in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The busy Haverfordwest town centre road was closed for much of Saturday while police continued their investigations.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said today (Monday): "Enquiries have continued over the weekend in relation to the sudden death of 42 year old Daniel Sturgess, who was found on Cartlett Road, Haverfordwest in the early hours of Saturday morning.

"There aren’t believed to be any suspicious circumstances at this time, and the file will be passed to HM Coroner. His family have been kept informed throughout, and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.

"We would like to thank the community for their understanding whilst the road was closed, and thanks to all who have assisted the investigation in any way."
