A Pembroke Dock man is back in jail after being caught with heroin.
Edmund Quinn, aged 39, of Munro Court, appeared before Judge Keith Thomas at Swansea crown court via video link with Swansea prison for a preliminary hearing.
He admitted possessing 1.2g of heroin on November 24 last year with intent to supply.
His barrister, Chris James, successfully applied for a pre sentence report before a sentencing hearing on August 8.
He said Quinn had once been jailed for nine years and had served almost all of the sentence in jail rather than being released on parole at an earlier stage.
Mr James said he wanted a probation officer to consider whether Quinn had spent so much time behind bars he had become institutionalised.
Quinn was further remanded in custody.
