A suspected emergency hoax call which happened yesterday (Sunday) has been reported to Dyfed-Powys police.
At 5.44pm coastguards received a report of a dinghy with two people on board in difficulty near Caldey Island.
Tenby coastguard rescue team and south Pembrokeshire sector manger investigated and both reported that there were no vessels in the reported position.
Coastguards said that the incident has been logged as a false alarm with malicious intent and details passed to Dyfed-Powys police.
