FATHER Christmas took time out of his busy schedule to visit Milford Haven and Neyland in the run-up to Christmas.

Over three nights, the man in red took his recently revamped sleigh on a tour of Milford Haven, passing through almost every street in the town.

He was joined by some little helpers from Milford Haven Round Table, who organise the annual event to bring a little Christmas spirit to everyone in the area.

They also handed out sweets to families who had come out in the cold to greet him.

Saint Nick also took his sleigh through Neyland, pulling into the Athletic Club, where around 100 children had gathered to meet him.

As well as checking everyone had behaved well throughout the year, he also gave every girl and boy a present and some sweets.

The annual event was organised by Neyland Town Council, with assistance from the Churches Together in Neyland, to 'give something back' to the people of Neyland.

Mayor Cllr Simon Hancock praised the "great community spirit", and said it had been great to see the children so excited.

Music was provided by Neyland Ladies Choir - in full traditional festive costume - and members of the Salvation Army band.

Mayor Hancock also thanked Brian Rothero and Neyland Athletic Club for providing the venue and setting up Santa's Grotto, Milford Haven Round Table for providing the sleigh, and Paul Gould from the Honda dealership.
