AN epic voyage all the way from China has been made to help create an exciting new feature at a south Pembrokeshire attraction.

The new ride Jurassic Journey at Tenby Dinosaur Park showcases sensational moving dinosaurs in a specially-created woodland area.

The new prehistoric giants travelled from their original home in Zing Zong City, China by ship to Southampton; then train to Cardiff and lorry to Tenby.

They have now taken up their places among the woods in their permanent new home and can be spotted from Tasty Bite III, as the golf buggy used to transport visitors around the path is known.

Park owner Amanda Meyrick said: “It’s so exciting to have Jurassic Journey at the park. The new ride will be suitable for people of all ages, so we really think everyone is going to fall in love with it.”

Visitors have been enjoying Jurassic Journey since the park re-opened for the season at Easter, and last Saturday, the ride was officially opened by Ffion Wells, who won the honour in a competition.

Also new at the park this year is a new Dino Dig sandpit area. This was created after visitors to the Dinosaur Park Facebook page were asked for suggestions for new features, and both Vicki Pearson and Jolene Reeman came up with the same idea.

The family attraction re-opened for the season at Easter, and will be open daily between 10am and 5pm until September 30.
