VINTAGE tractor enthusiasts are in for a treat in north Pembrokeshire today (Sunday, May 3).
A contingent of tractors from Ireland will descend on Goodwick where they will be joined by Welsh tractors for a 35 mile run to Pwllcaerog and back.
Gathering from 10am, the grand procession of around 200 tractors will leave Goodwick Moor car park, head up to Fishguard and out towards Manorowen, up to Abercastle and Trefin, stopping at Celtic Camping near St Davids, for refreshments, with a return through Croesgoch, past Mathry and Panteg back to Goodwick.
The idea for the Welsh/Irish tractor run was sparked off as a result of the National Tractor run hosted in Pembrokeshire in 2011.
A small number of Irish tractors visited at the time and invited the Welsh to Ireland in 2012. The following year saw the Irish tractors returning to Pembroke with the Welsh contingent going over to Ireland in 2014.
With the help of the Dean Mason Memorial Fund all money raised will be going to CRY, the Cardiac Risk in the Young charity.
The Memorial Fund has been set up by the family to help CRY reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death through a screening programme.
Entry on the day is £20 (includes a lunch voucher).
