AN intrepid charity supporter who is trekking the entire mainland of the UK has arrived in Pembrokeshire.
Adam Short, 42, from Bournemouth has taken on the gruelling 6,600 coastal challenge in a bid to raise as much money as possible for Save the Children and the RNLI.
He started the trek on March 6, setting off from Southampton and reached Fishguard on day 433 of his challenge. He will be walking the 186 mile trek along the Pembrokeshire Costal path over the next week, ending in Tenby on May 22.
Now on his eighth pair of boots, third backpack and third set of clothing, and having endured temperatures of -12c and surviving off ration packs and wild foods, Adam says that it is the warm welcome from supporters that keeps him going.
“The welcome and support I have had is second to none. Since I arrived in Wales I have been amazed by the beautiful and breath taking scenery. The Pembrokeshire Coastline is awesome and the welcome I have received is just humbling.”
