A man has died following a fall from Stack Rocks yesterday.

Rescue services were called to the scene at around 4pm on Monday (May 25) after a 31-year-old fell approximately 20 metres from the rocks near Stackpole.

The man suffered fatal injuries.

Tenby RNLI volunteers launched the all weather lifeboat just after 4pm after receiving reports that a person had fallen off the cliffs in Bull Slaughter Bay.

While making their way there they were informed that the man had been winched onto the Rescue 169 helicopter and airlifted to hospital.

A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: β€œAt approximately 4.20pm on Monday May 25, police were made aware of an incident in Stack Rocks, Stackpole, Pembroke. Coastguard and Ambulance were already at the scene. A 31 year old man had fallen approximately 20 metres and sustained fatal injuries. Enquiries have commenced, but there are not believed to be suspicious circumstances. No further information will be released at this time.”
