The Valero Refinery will tonight (Wednesday) find out if it has won a prestigious award at this year’s Arts and Business Awards in recognition of its work with arts organisations in the county.
Valero has successfully been nominated in the Arts, Business and the Community category for its work it has done with the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the VC Gallery.
Grants from Valero’s community engagement fund have supported VC Gallery art workshops for vulnerable groups, such as veterans, who would not otherwise get the chance to be involved in creative subjects.
Valero’s support for the Royal Welsh College has seen their celebrated Young Actors Studio programme come to Pembrokeshire.
Valero Public Affairs Manager Stephen Thornton, said: “To be nominated alongside so many wonderful companies and arts organisations is a real honour, and we cannot wait to hear the results at the awards ceremony.”
The winners of will be revealed at a black-tie dinner and ceremony at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff on Wednesday, July 1.
