THE Dyfed Shire Horse Farm in Eglwyswrw is celebrating another busy and successful season.

Now in its 22nd season since opening in 1994, the family farm continues with the tradition of showcasing the beautiful Dyfed Shire Horse breeding line that was begun by John Rees Lewis, grandfather to the current owners.

A busy season has been capped off with retaining the 5 star Food Standards Agency accreditation for the farm's popular Caffe Celt and winning, for the first time, a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for customer care.

Farm manager Mark Cole said: "It's been great to welcome friends, old and new, to our family farm in 2015 and the reviews that we have received have been fantastic. We aim to offer an enjoyable and educational day out for visitors of all ages at Carnhuan, our family home since 1849, and it's been a pleasure to meet so many enthusiastic neighbours and visitors throughout the season.”

As a result of the successful season, the farm has decided to open a few extra days in October. These include Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the month and from Monday toFriday during half term.

There will also be a craft fair in Caffi Celt on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1. For more details email info@dyfed-shires.co.uk.
