A candlelit vigil will be held in Haverfordwest on Friday to remember the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris.

Pembrokeshire County Council Chairman, Councillor Wynne Evans, and Haverfordwest Mayor, Councillor Sue Murray, will be taking part in the vigil at the War Memorial in Haverfordwest at 5.30 pm on Friday (November 20) in memory of those who perished in the Paris attacks.

Members of the public are invited to attend and to take part in the ceremony.

Councillor Evans has also written to the French Ambassador to the UK to express the sympathy of the Pembrokeshire people in the wake of the atrocities.

“Freedom-loving people everywhere will be shocked by this outrage” said Councillor Evans.

As a mark of respect, flags have been flown at half-mast outside County Hall in Haverfordwest and County Council staff observed the Europe-wide one minute silence on Monday morning.
