SIXTH formers at Milford Haven School have surpassed themselves after raising more than £7,000 for Children in Need.
The grand total of £7,025.68 was revealed in the school hall on Friday afternoon after a week of fundraising activities, which started with a cold dip at Broad Haven beach.
The total was almost £900 more on last year’s amount.
Other fundraising events saw sixth formers take on the teachers in dodgeball and basketball matches, Stars in Their Eyes, a Hallow’een party and cake stalls.
Headteacher Rod Francis said: “Well done to all the students for their outstanding efforts.
“They always make a big effort for Children in Need and I’m really pleased they have been so successful. They are real ambassadors for the school.
“It’s been a really lovely atmosphere all week with everyone coming together.”
Head of sixth form, Kath Dootson said: “It’s been a fantastic team effort and I’m very grateful to you all and the way that you have conducted yourselves, and done something for what we all know is a very important charity.”
Head girl, Jessie-Mae Turner added: “Everyone has put so much work in.
“Children in Need means a lot to everyone because there are people in need here. It could be people in our school that we’re raising money for.”
