LOCAL government officer Mathew Lamb put his best foot forward for Children in Need.
Mathew, a senior finance officer with Pembrokeshire County Council in Haverfordwest, walked to work on Friday morning; 15 miles from his home in Fishguard.
Popularly known as ‘Minty’, he set off at 4am and braved thunder, lightning and gale force winds before reaching the safety of County Hall three hours and 50 minutes later.
And that wasn’t the end of his fund-raising.
He then began a vow of silence to help collect even more cash for Children in Need.
By mid-morning his trek had already raised £400.
