A collision at a Pembrokeshire level crossing caused delays to trains for a time earlier today.

The incident took place at the Beavers Hill crossing, near Jameston.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said two crews of firefighters from Tenby were called to the Beavers Hill crossing at 11.41am.

They had received reports of a car colliding with a passenger train on the crossing.

One female was removed from the vehicle and checked by paramedics.
The crews left at 12.53pm.


The Western Telegraph live travel report at the time, stated:

Beaver's Hill blocked due to accident and recovery work near Cowpark Lane (Beaver's Hill Level Crossing).

"Police are removing a vehicle from the crossing after it hit a train; trains are also on stop.

A replacement bus service ran on the line for a time while the incident was dealt with.

At 1.30pm Network Rail tweeted: "A problem at a level crossing at Manorbier has been resolved and trains between Tenby and Pembroke Dock are now running normally."
