A MUM with a milestone birthday is hoping it will be the Greatest Day with a visit from singer Gary Barlow.

The Take That front man is offering to sing at five special birthday celebrations this year.

And 39-year-old Jenny Owen from Narberth is pulling out all the stops to secure the singer as the guest of honour at her 40th birthday bash in September.

In 2015, Barlow went out to sing at people’s weddings, and now this year, he’s turning his attention to memorable birthdays.

“21, 30, 40, 60, 110!!!!! I’ll come and sing at your party,” he Tweeted in March.

Said Jenny: “I was really dreading being 40, but the thought that I might get Gary Barlow to Pembrokeshire has really given me something to look forward to.

“I haven’t got a sob story; I’m just an ordinary mum of four boys who likes Take That’s music and I really like Gary Barlow.

“So I’ve got a campaign on Facebook and Twitter and I’m upping the pressure.

"My husband Richard and the boys think I’m nuts!”

Jenny’s Twitter username is @littlejen40 and is using #barlowforjens40th to gather support. She works part-time in the Spar in Narberth, where 2016 will see a total of 10 milestone birthdays amongst staff, ranging from 30 to 65.

“This is one of the reasons I am using to encourage Gary to pick my party to attend - he could sing to 10 milestone birthdays under one roof!”

And I’m also asking people to like my Facebook page, Barlowforjens40th - if I get one million likes, maybe Gary will sing A Million Love Songs to me?”
