GARDENERS young and old are invited to take 'grow for gold' in a charity competition.
St Ishmaels Sports Club is hosting a pumpkin growing competition, to raise money for charity.
Last year the club raised around £550 for Macmillan Cancer Support and prostate cancer charities by hosting a 'potato growing challenge'.
This time, adults will be asked to grow blue pumpkins, and children will grow white ones.
Entry to the competition is £5, which included seeds to get you started.
The competition will be launched at the sports club on Saturday, April 30, between noon and 3pm.
There will be a cake stall, plant stall and refreshments available, and all proceeds from the day will go to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
From 9pm, there will also be live music from Dig Deep, £5 for members, £7 for non-members.
In September the sports club will hold a coffee morning for Macmillan to find out who grew the largest pumpkin, with prizes in each category.
Come on down and have a grow!
