A brave mum who is walking 6,000 miles around the coast of Great Britain in memory of her little girl arrives in Pembrokeshire tomorrow (Friday).

Natalia Spencer, aged 41, is raising money for Bristol Children’s Hospital after her five-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, sadly died there in December.

Elizabeth was taken ill with a relatively-common virus which triggered a rare auto-immune condition and passed away after 18 days on life support at the hospital.

Natalia, from Cheltenham, who is originally from the Ukraine, began her Walk of Love on Valentine’s Day at Durdle Door in Dorset, the last beach she and Elizabeth visited together.

Today (Thursday), she is walking from St Clears to Pendine and arrives in Tenby tomorrow afternoon, where her supporters are organising a gathering to welcome her and to mark the 1,000-mile point in her journey.

Natalia hopes to raise £100,000 for The Grand Appeal, which is the Bristol Children’s Hospital charity, and her walk through Pembrokeshire continues throughout the coming fortnight via Stackpole Quay, Castlemartin, Angle, Milford Haven, Dale, St Brides, Solva, Whitesands, Abercastle, Fishguard and Newport Sands, arriving in Cardigan on May 15.

She is inviting anyone who would like to walk with her to join her for part of the journey.

Natalia’s walk has already raised more than £30,000. To donate, visit www.justgiving.com/Natalia-Spencer or text ELIF55 and your donation amount to 70070. You can follow her progress at http://www.elizabethsfootprint.com/
