COMEDIAN Paul Merton alights at a Pembrokeshire station on Sunday for his new series on Channel 4.
The lifelong railway buff is presenting a new series, Secret Stations, about various less-known request stops and exploring their locality.
And he can be seen making tracks for Penally, where he met up with Penally History Group who took up him to the cliff top site of the village’s World War One trenches.
Said group member David Glennerster: “We were with Paul and the crew up on the trenches for over four hours, but we have no idea how much or how little has made it into the final programme.
“The hats they provided were too big and were a challenge in themselves!”
He added that the group is looking forward “with interest and some trepidation” to the programme which is being shown at 8pm on Sunday May 15. “We hope it will enhance people’s knowledge of this unique system of trenches used by our soldiers before they left for the Front.”
