Buckets and spades at the ready as temperatures of up to 27 degrees are forecast for Pembrokeshire.
THERMOMETERS are expected to hit a toasty 27 degrees across Pembrokeshire tomorrow (Tuesday).
The forecast comes 40 years after one of the UK's most famous heatwaves.
Between mid-June and the end of August, 1976, the country experienced one of the longest spells of hot weather in living memory.
It included 15 consecutive days of 32C heat, and the dry weather also brought droughts across the country.
The impact on domestic water supplies lead to widespread water rationing, and the National Water Council took out full page ads in newspapers on how to 'beat the drought' advising steps such as only taking a bath if absolutely necessary, and using no more than five inches of water.
