A fundraiser inspired by the adventures of Tenby’s Rosie Swale Pope is making his way through Pembrokeshire as part of his 5,000-mile run around Britain.

Simon Clark, who is due to move on from the Pembroke area today (Thursday) is aiming to raise £10,000 to help the work of a charity with disadvantaged children and young people in Kenya, Uganda and Myanmar.

The feat will ceelbrate the 20th anniversary of Ecologia Youth Trust.

Simon’s run began in Scotland on March 27, and is expected to take a year to complete.

He is following the “crinkly coast” of Britain in a journey of self-discovery and to test his own limits.

Rosie Swale Pope, whose book Just a Little Run Around the World catalogued her incredible 20,000-mile solo run around the globe, is currently running across the USA.
