POLICE have said they are doing all they can to find the two men responsible for a terrifying incident on a Pembrokeshire road at the weekend.

Jamie-Lee Irving was driving on a back road near the former Murco refinery in Robeston West near Milford Haven on Saturday when a man appeared in the middle of the road.

Jamie-Lee instinctively locked the car doors as she came to a standstill when another man suddenly tried to force his way into the car, while swearing at her.

In a post on Facebook Jamie-Lee, 30, said: "Some guy was standing in the road, I slowed down and locked my doors quickly and then another man was yanking at my passenger door handle shouting 'open the f****** door!!

"I stepped my foot down and drove off and the one in the road jumped into the hedge. I would have ran him over if he hadn't moved.

"I was terrified."

Jamie-Lee said the incident happened at about 7.25pm when the weather was poor and raining. She said the men had foreign accents.

Both men were said to be in dark hoodies or coats.

Her post on Facebook has been shared more than 700 times with many users shocked that such an incident could have happened on a local road.

On Monday, Inspector Tim Hoad told the Western Telegraph: “Police have conducted a number of enquiries following the incident.

"I would like to reassure the community that no one was hurt and that officers are doing everything possible to identify the males and to make sure the area remains safe.”

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Milford Haven Police on 101, quoting reference 300.”
