THE family of a 25-year-old woman, who died suddenly just days before Christmas, will today say their goodbyes.

Michaela Marie Haines, originally from Pembroke, was found dead at a property in Tenby in the early hours of December 23.

A funeral service for the "vivacious" and "inspiring" Pembrokeshire College student, who had dreams of becoming a mental health nurse, will take place in Pembroke this afternoon (Tuesday).

Described as a “happy, bubbly girl with a heart of gold,” Michaela’s family are at a loss as to the reasons for her death, and have appealed publicly for information relating to her final days and hours.

£4,620 was raised through the Just Giving website, to help Michaela's family organise a fitting send-off for her.

The funeral service will take place at St Mary's Church, Pembroke, at 1.30pm, followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn at 3.15pm.

Afterwards, there will be a chance to raise a glass in memory of Michaela at Monkton Swifts Social Club.

If desired, personal tributes may be sent to Messrs. W & M J Rossiter and Sons funeral directors, The Old Rectory, The Norton, Tenby, SA70 8AB.
