It was Fun, Fun, For a Pembrokeshire musician when world famous band The Beach Boys beckoned her to join them on stage while performing at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday night.

Kate Elizabeth Hallam, a musician, model and actress from the Haverfordwest area, was invited onto the stage at London’s prestigious venue to play guitar alongside the renowned group while they performed their hit song Barbara Ann.

Kate played rhythm guitar alongside singer Mike Love and guitarist/musical director, Scott Totten, when she joined them onstage for the encore, and wowed the audience with her performance.

She also took her five-year-old son Dani onto the famous stage to dance while his mum played the solo to this iconic song to a sell-out audience of 5,000 people.

She said: “It was brilliant. It was amazing to play at the Royal Albert Hall, nothing gets better than that.”

Kate previously performed with The Beach Boys in 2008 at Sheffield City Hall after shooting a video with them for Barbara Ann.

She usually plays bass guitar with Pembrokeshire band 'The Barberians', who are soon to launch an album mastered by famous producer Chris Kimsey of The Rolling Stoneson PledgeMusic, and is due to start a tour with her partner, guitarist Jim Barber and drummer Paul Foss.

Kate, who is originally from Derbyshire, is also a brand ambassador for Advanced Hair Studios and a TV presenter. The former beauty queen has appeared on the cover of Take a Break magazine and on the BBC’s Top Gear programme.
