SUBSTANTIAL Sound takes over Eddie Rocks this weekend (Friday), for a night of good vibes and a truck load of bass.
The electronic music night has picked a new venue for its latest outing, meaning a bigger dance floor and an even bigger sound.
Headlining the 3am set will be DJ Gas, a 27-year-old turntable addict from Hakin.
After being sucked in by techno, Gas moved onto drum and bass, and over the years has absorbed a string of early 90s sounds into his set, aiming for an underground vibe sliced through with a fistful of hard-hitters.
Filling the 2am slot will be Audio Autopsy, whose experimentation with different sounds has lef him down the Bassweight side of dubstep, a slower, calmer genre that still provides bone-shaking basslines.
From 1am surrender to a crowd-pleasing set of funky tracks, from a DJ who has supported big names like Freestylers, Pendulum and Jaguar Skills.
Fusing hip hop and funk with a phat dollop of filthy bass, Pembrokeshire DJ Late Knight knows how to select a tune to keep the dance-floor warmed up.
At midnight, Papa Jam will spice up the sound with a Dancehall set guaranteed to get you in the groove.
Papa follows an hour-long set of breakbeat and drumm and bass by Substantial Sounds co-organiser Derren Heath, aka Him Again, from 11pm.
Warming up the decks at 10pm will be Mr Swift - a new face on the scene, who favours an eclectic mix of funky genres.
After playing a handful of events in Milford he is very excited to play his home crowd in Haverfordwest and open for Substantial Sound with some big disco re-edits and a whole lot of funky bass.
A night not to be missed. Eddie Rocks, 10pm until 4am, entry £5.
