HUNDREDS of families flocked to Lower Treginnis Farm in St Davids last weekend for its third Open Farm Sunday event, run in conjunction with Blas y Tir.

The sun was shining as record-breaking numbers of people came for the day - with over 700 people visiting Lower Treginnis Farm to find out about where their food comes from, living healthily and to enjoy a fun, free family day out.

Visitors enjoyed activities including; weighing the pigs, petting the donkeys, bottle feeding lambs, feeding and milking the goats. Another popular attraction was the free face painting.

Excellent food including Treginnis Farms for City Children hot dogs, pork burgers and bacon rolls were available in addition to delicious homemade cakes - all raising money for the charity.

As part of the new Healthy Living Zone, special guests Hybu Cig Cymru entertained visitors with cooking demonstrations.

The Scarlets Rugby were in attendance with their inflatable kicking game, encouraging children of all ages to get involved in rugby and sport as were the National Trust, with free wild art modelling.

The Blas y Tir Treasure Trail also proved very popular, with lots of families taking the opportunity to go on a 1km walk around the farm and discover the coastal views, with the opportunity to pick their own Pembrokeshire early potatoes at the end.
