A PEMBROKE Dock woman has been told today (Monday) a jail sentence is inevitable after she admitted lying at an inquest.
Lorraine Teresa Stevens, aged 62, appeared at Swansea crown court for a plea and trial preparation hearing before Judge Paul Thomas.
Stevens, of Kitchener Close, admitted committing perjury at an inquest into the death of John Shelley held in Milford Haven on June 12, 2014.
She admitted telling the hearing that a learning disability form existed relating to Mr Shelley when it was not.
Judge Thomas agreed to postpone sentencing until October 5 to allow time for a probation officer to prepare a report into her background.
But Judge Thomas warned her that in his experience such serious offending always resulted in a prison sentence.
Stevens was granted bail meanwhile.
