The rain set in at Fishguard breakwater the venue for Neyland and district sea anglers.
This had been moved from Strumblehead due to the bad forecast and for safety reasons, heavy showers made it very difficult and challenging for these hearty souls. Only two members returned fish to the scales, the match winner was Steve Tate with the heaviest bag mainly dog fish, with club president Bob South taking second with his bag which contained a nice wrasse.
Steve Tate, Bob South and Richard Davies were the adjudicators.
The next match is on Sunday.August 18, a rover cash match for the heaviest wrasse. Register at Neyland Quay car park at 2.15pm. Fishing 3 till 8pm and back to the car park for weigh- in and the scales close at 8.45pm
