THE Osprey Sea Angling Club is busy preparing for their annual open competition that will take place at Amroth beach.
Organiser John OConnor is expecting a good turnout that has some tremendous cash prizes and it's still not too late to enter the competition that takes place on Sunday, October 6.
The angler who catches the heaviest bag of flatfish can pocket £300, second prize is for heaviest fish of any specie is worth £150, and there's a third prize of £100 for the angler with the second heaviest bag of flat fish. There will also be a grand raffle held with lots of prizes.
There are ladies and junior categories and entry is just £10 per angler. Anglers can book in at 10am at the Amroth Arms by kind permission of Roger Harries.
