Blacks still seeking first win

Division five west:
St Clears 28
ST Clears eased their way to an away win against Neyland, who played far better than their lowly position would suggest but conceded points at vital times.
Darren Rees gave the Carmarthenshire Saints the early lead with a penalty and after Mark Riley had hauled the All Blacks level with a similar three-pointer it was a try by No 8 Rod Phillips converted by Rees, that gave St Clears the impetus as Rees added a second penalty and managed to convert right winger Dai Jenkins’ best try of the game to put the visitors 20-3 ahead.
Gregg Miller did well to open the All Blacks’ try county and Riley converted before Rees was again on target with a penalty before hooker Dafydd Page, who had a terrific game, scored an unconverted try for the Saints.
Neyland had the final word when Adam Collins scored a late unconverted try but they still seek a first win of the season in this section.
