MILFORD MMA fighter David ‘one more’ Round faces another huge test in his career this Saturday when he fights Leigh ‘The Boom’ Cohoon in Blackpool.
The fight takes place at Norbreck Castle, Blackpool, as part of the Extreme Cage Championships (ECC) event , ‘Banned.’
It will be Round’s first MMA fight since he demolished Berwyn Davies in Neath in July, to claim the Welsh cruiserweight title.
However, 27-year-old Round did win a kick boxing bout in Swansea last month, which he said formed part of his training for the high profile fight in Blackpool.
He knows he will have his work cut out against the Manchester based Cohoon, who boasts a 10-6 career record and won his last fight, against Mickey Oliver, via submission.
Round attended Milford Haven Secondary School and still lives in the area.
Extreme Cage Championships is a brand new mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion that is based in the North-West of England. ECC is a self-governed MMA promotion that adopts the same style as the UFC when it comes to their judging criteria and methods when they stage international shows.
