GOODWICK United won this West Wales Intermediate Cup first round cup-tie more easily than what the score line suggests.
Last season's beaten semi-finalists were two-up with barely half an hour gone against division two top of the table Swansea League outfit, who also reached the last eight last season.
Ryan Howells grabbed the opener in the 20th minute, the 17-year-old cutting in from the right from half way, and then showed maturity beyond his years to lash his shot into the far corner for a terrific solo effort.
Ten minutes later and goal scorer Howells was involved again for his sides second. He cleverly combined with right back Kieran OBrien, and the latter finished the move off with an easy tap-in.
OBrien and skipper Wayne OSullivan header were guilty of spurning further scoring chances for the hosts, the visitors pulled one goal back in the 75th minute, but Goodwick held on with no further scares to progress into round two.
Player boss Steve Blackford said: No game against a Swansea League outfit is easy. But the boys thoroughly deserved to win.
