Busy month for Trots club

SEPTEMBER has been a busy month for the Trots of St Clears Running Club.
Three members travelled to Lake Vyrnwy to run the half marathon, now in its 25th year. Jack Tremlett ran 1:19, Jason Dickinson 1:20, and Elizabeth Tremlett 1:29.
The same weekend also saw Cyril Walters compete in the Great North Run in a time of 1:45.
Sixteen members raced the Swansea Bay 10km, with the Trots senior women winning bronze and the veteran women winning silver.

In the Pembrokeshire Tri half Marathon and 10km in Dale, Mike Evans took the title in the half marathon, in a time of 1:20, ahead of Daryl John 1:22, Kevin Griffiths 1:26, Keith Powell 1:47, Mike Terry 1:57, Chris Birch 2:00, and Mike Hodges 2:19. Trots men won the team prize.
10km results: Charlie Corkrum 39:51; Philip Terry 51:37.
On the same weekend four team members travelled to Cardiff to take part in the annual Mens Health 10k Survival of the Fittest.
Results: Jonathan Jones 1:03, Mel Watson 1:11, Simon Scurrell 1:15, Lindy Eynon 1:26.
Trots travel to Pontypool on October 19 for the first Gwent League cross country meeting.
